About Me

Osiyo! (Hello!)

My name is Eden and I am a writer. I’ve been writing since I was 12. The first thing I ever wrote was a poem and then I started writing songs. After reading The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, I was inspired to write a book. I had written many songs, stories, and poems before stopping for a while. This was due to the discouraging words of a fellow writer, who was published.

However, I began writing again and I credit this to the late Diana Wynne Jones. Her books are amazing and her writing was unique. I’ll never be like her, but what made her writing so unique was that it was just her. And that is how I write. When I write, it is me and the best way to get to know me is through my writing.

My poetry has appeared in Three Line Poetry, I was also in a zine for Diana Wynne Jones, and I am currently writing a young adult fantasy trilogy. It is my dream to be a published author and for my books to sell even more copies than Harry Potter. That’s quite a big goal, huh? But I know I will achieve my dreams.

Writing is truly, truly what I love.

I am a person of mixed heritage: (Tsalagi) Cherokee, Welsh, and German. I am proud of being mixed and although I feel very connected to my Native roots, all my heritages are a part of me and who I am. I am Native, I own it, but being Cherokee, even Welsh and German doesn’t define me. They are a part of who I am, a part of what makes me who I am, but there is more to me just than my heritages. And I continue to learn about my Tsalagi heritage. I hope to one day learn the language.

I am a book addict. I just love reading and I am always visiting the library. If I could, I’d live in a library!

I’m also a paranormal investigator. I’ve been in a ghost hunting group since I was 14. The group was formed on the night of Halloween in 2003. I have had paranormal experiences all my life and I really enjoy investigating the paranormal.

I also love playing video games. I’ve been playing since I was around 4 or 5 and I have many, many games. I love music, the Spice Girls are my favorite group. I’ve been a fan for 18 years. They were who I looked up to while growing up and I still look up to them. They have been a huge part of my life for such a long time and they taught me so much. I will always be a fan and will never be ashamed.

I have the most amazing boyfriend, who I love with all my heart. I can’t imagine my life without him.

I also make Native American crafts that I sell at my online store called Tsalagi Dreams and I enjoy going to Powwows. I’m not sure what else to say, so if there is anything you would like to know, feel free to ask.

Wado (thank you) for visiting my page.

  1. I’m curious about your paranormal encounters – I have been shooting images in abandoned spots for years – some locations are former mental asylums and I’ve yet to have any (and I do mean any) paranormal encounters…any thoughts on why not?

    • Have you ever caught anything on your pictures?

Being able to see or sense spirits is considered a psychic ability and everyone has these abilities, but some people’s abilities are more open than others. And I think that is why some people have a lot of experiences with the paranormal; their psychic abilities are really open.

And sometimes it just takes going to a location repeatedly. Ghosts aren’t always active and I know plenty of times I’ve been ghost hunting and didn’t get anything. And then other times it is really active.

Eventually you’ll have an experience. It’ll probably just happen when you least expect it.

And also if you’re going to haunted places make sure to protect yourself. There are more than just ghosts out there. What you do is imagine white light trimmed in gold around your whole body and ask Saint Michael to protect you.

      • Hello…
No, nothing in my pictures either – most places I have been to on multiple occasions as well. I shoot in both visible spectrum and infrared.
Just thought I’d ask – as this is one of the two questions I get asked when I show my work: #1 why do you do it and #2 ever seen any spirits?
